George Georgiev, DDS

Originally from the greater Toronto area, Dr. Georgiev completed his undergraduate education in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Western Ontario and graduated with distinction. Subsequently, he pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at New York University College of Dentistry. After obtaining his doctoral, Dr. Georgiev completed a one-year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, MI and transitioned to complete his comprehensive residency training at the same institution.

His surgical residency training took place at several hospitals throughout the metro-Detroit area, including Detroit Receiving Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Detroit VA Hospital, and Beaumont Royal Oak and Troy Hospitals. His surgical training emphasized on the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery including but not limited to: dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, anesthesia, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and the treatment of benign head and neck pathology. During his final year of training, he served as Chief Resident.

Compassion and patient satisfaction are at the forefront of his practice philosophy. He strongly believes the patient and provider are a team. As such, his practice encourages patients to communicate their goals of treatment to provide exceptional care.

In his free time, Dr. Georgiev enjoys cooking, playing tennis and pickleball, traveling, relaxing at the beach, and discovering new places around the city.
