TMJ Treatment

TMJ trauma is frequently overlooked in multiple trauma, whiplash, motor vehicle accident, and worker’s compensation patients. Jaw pain can be misdiagnosed as cervical pain or headaches; or patients may not feel it is important enough to mention to their doctors. If you, your patient or your client experience any of the below symptoms, an evaluation by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon can properly diagnose TMJ disorders. An MRI can document an internal derangement of the TMJ, a permanent injury, causally related to any trauma.
